The Clark County Museum uses interactive displays to trace the history of region from the prehistoric time onwards. The museum is northeast of the Black Mountain Golf and Country Club on the Boulder Mountain Highway. Aside from the county's history, the museum also features an exhibit dedicated to the plants of the region, The Mojave Desert Outdoor Classroom, and an actual steam engine.
